... All you need to do is roll out your mat, start with Downward dog pose (Adho mukha svanasana) ... and roll on from there. Sometimes you need a structured sequence, but sometimes you just have to get started!
The Iyengar teacher John Shumaker says that Adho mukha svanasana is his desert island pose as it is a standing pose, a backbend, and an inversion - in fact the only thing it doesn't do is twist, so this really is a great pose to start with. Yoga is mindfulness and meditation in action. Only practice will lead us to see a pose, and in exploring the pose we deepen our understanding of ourselves.
