Yoga for Emotional Stability Studio workshop Saturday 29th April 15:00-17:30

This workshop with Adrienne Bagnall is based on Guruji BKS Iyengar’s restorative programme for emotional stability that he described as quietening for the body and the mind. This practice will help you understand the use of props tailored to your individual needs and will feature longer holds in supported poses. We shall work through a series of asana and pranayama that calms the mind and cools the brain, balances the intellectual and emotional centres, stimulates positive thinking, and brings about inner silence. Everyone is welcome at this workshop which is for all levels of students from confident beginner (min 6 months practice) to advanced.
United Reform Church Hall, Water Lane, Bishop's Stortford CM23 2JZ.

Yoga for children
Yoga in the school has been seen to have a profound effect on children and their behaviour, mindset and learning. Yoga gives young people some rare time for themselves and can improve not only their physical health, but also their emotional wellbeing. It is a fantastic form of cross-training for young athletes, as well as a form of exercise for those who usually dislike PE, as there is no competition and their is a great emphasis on the ego being left at the door. Yoga is a simple way to feel better, reduce stress and boost self-esteem.
I have experience of teaching secondary and primary aged children both in school and at Social groups .
