Apart from the fact that it keeps you fit, strengthen your core and others, yoga is also a great way to lose weight. It is very effective for weight loss if done properly and also practiced regularly. A lot of persons may get scared and refuse to practice it, because they are afraid of injuries. The truth is that if you practice yoga under the supervision of a trained professional, the chances of injuries will be minimal. Those looking for ways to achieve some weight loss, can rely on yoga to achieve that. Yoga is very affordable and the results you get are always great.

I used to think that yoga is only for thin and flexible people. I am quite fat and I am not at all flexible so when my friend invited me to a yoga class, I immediately turned her down because I did not want to embarrass myself in front of many people since I really do not know how I am going to do all the different yoga poses. But she got me to go anyway and I was so happy she insisted because yoga is not hard at all! Flexibility is needed, but not the kind of flexibility that you see gymnasts are doing. You can also opt for a yoga and meditation class combined if you really want to remove all possibilities of doing the complicated yoga poses.
