Retraining our minds to stop rushing around is hard, but if you can find the time to build in a little home practice you will reap many benefits. Home practice is the backbone of yoga, but it doesn’t have to be a long session - just a 15 minute practice is a good place to start. So, to help you start your home practice journey why not try the new beginners sequence I have uploaded onto the sequence page (it is also good for non beginners too :) ). You can even pick out a few of the poses if you can’t spare much time - as long as you finish with a relaxing pose such as Paschimottonasana and Savasana (final relaxation). As Mr Iyengar said “it is the brain that is the hardest part of the body to adjust in asanas” so make the time to stop your busy brain, and roll out your mat for some practice, and notice how it helps to you to face your daily life with a quieter and calmer perspective.
