The Iyengar Yoga Convention April 2021

Wow! What an amazing 4 days of teachings from Abhijata Iyengar, who is the granddaughter of BKS Iyengar, who is now heading the Iyengar family.

EHer prowess at multi-layered teaching was an art form to behold. It takes great skill to teach a smorgasbord of students. We had separate teachings for the menopause, menstrual cycle, asthma, knee problems, for newer students to experienced students. Alongside this she weaved in live Q&As into her teachings so we could understand the submitted queries from an embodied practice. 

And for those who were there, who could forget the apple crumble concept 😊.. remembering sanskaras and imprints! 

When commended on her teaching skills at the end of one of the sessions she said “if I can teach in front of BKS Iyengar then all other teaching is easy (or words to that effect)’ . A true master 🙏.
