![]() On Thursday this week I shall be teaching a GENTLE YOGA class which is based on the teachings and scientific based studies in Iyengar yoga. The practice is designed to help you connect with your own body to address any inbalances in the muscularskeletal system which may be affecting alignment IN the torso, hips and posture. All of the poses are simple and practical poses that can be easily incorporated into a home practice. I have found that based on my own practice that these poses help heal and provide space and release and relief. We will look at • Asanas that keep your back muscles and your spine healthy and supple • How we can help to re-align your pelvis • How lengthening the hamstrings may help release the back and hips You will need a chair such as a yoga chair or dinning room chair, a yoga belt or strap, some yoga bricks/blocks or books.
